More about me...
I grew up in Belgium (Brussels) and Austria (a small village near Klagenfurt). I now live in the UK (Burton-On-Trent) and will be soon moving back to Belgium.
Since my teenage years, I have always been fascinated by the brain and dreamed of a medical career. "Slightly" put off by dissections at school, I chose Psychology as a more suitable alternative and graduated in 1993 (Universite catholique de Louvain).
I couldn't resist the temptation of some unforgettable and life changing off-road driving (volunteering for an NGO in the Philippines for four months and working in a detention centre in Bogota for almost a year) before starting my career as a neuropsychologist.
From 1999, I worked for three year in Brussels as a clinical neuropsychologist (Centre for Traumatology and Rehabilitation, Brussels). I completed my PhD in 2001 (Universite catholique de Louvain) and then moved in 2002 to the UK to pursue an academic career. From the 1st of September 2010, I will go back to Belgium and join the Universite catholique de Louvain.
